Editorial Policy
This page describes who writes the guides and posts on ZeroDataUpload, how they are produced and checked, and how corrections are handled. It applies to every guide under /tools/, every post under /blog/ and the information pages.
Who writes
All guides, posts and information pages are written and maintained by Milan Salvi, the developer of the tools they describe. There are no guest authors, no outsourced writers and no sponsored posts. Each page names its author and shows the date it was published or last updated.
How a guide or post is produced
- From use, not from marketing copy. A guide is written while using the tool it describes: every feature mentioned exists, every step was carried out, and the limits (file sizes, formats, browser support) are stated as found.
- Facts are sourced. Statistics and external claims link to their source. Where a number could not be sourced it is stated as an estimate or removed. Technical explanations describe what the browser does in plain words.
- Plain language. The pages avoid jargon where a plain description works, and define a term the first time it is used.
- Review. Every guide and post was re-read in full on 2 October 2026 for accuracy, out-of-date addresses and counts, and wording that promised more than the site delivers. The same review is repeated when a tool changes.
Corrections
If a page is wrong, incomplete or out of date, use the "Report a Problem" link in the footer of that page, which opens the contact form with the page address filled in. Corrections are made in the page itself, its "Last Updated" or review date is changed, and notable corrections are listed on the What's New page. We do not silently rewrite an article's substance.
Advertising and independence
The site is paid for by advertising placed automatically by Google, as described in the Advertising Disclosure. Advertisers have no say in what is written. The guides and posts contain no affiliate links and no paid placements. Where a post compares our tool with another product, the comparison is based on using both and says so.
Privacy of readers
The pages carry Google analytics and advertising code, controlled as described in the Cookie Policy. Nothing you type into a tool is part of that. The Privacy Policy lists every outside service the site uses.
